Daniel Jebaraj on .NET Component Development

Daniel Jebaraj is the VP at Syncfusion, a company that provides enterprise development components for the .NET platform.  In this interview, he explains his role as a product strategist and manager of seven other product managers.  He explains why Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) is geared toward more controlled environments, such as intranets.  Another topic of discussion is the ASP.NET MVC framework and how it changes the way .NET developers think about building RIAs.

Jebaraj tells us what some of the most popular components are today for developers.  He explains how his vision for the component market of Windows and how it will evolve over the next few years.  Developers have a much richer choice today than they used to, he says.  Finally, Jebaraj talks about the volume 4 release features of reporting.

A good overview of the Component marketplace for .NET. Many things are easier to buy vs. build. We need more time creating value for our customers and less time reinventing the wheel.
